Padi advanced open water course
Overview
Take your diving to the next level with the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course. This course is designed for certified Open Water Divers who want to improve their skills, gain confidence, and explore new underwater adventures. You'll complete five adventure dives, including the Deep Dive and Underwater Navigation Dive, while experiencing specialties such as Peak Performance Buoyancy, Night Diving, Fish Identification, Wreck Diving, or Drift Diving (depending on conditions). Upon completion, you'll be certified to dive to a maximum depth of 30 metres.

Expand your diving skills and gain the confidence to explore deeper underwater adventures with the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course. Designed for certified Open Water Divers, this course helps you enhance your diving experience through five exciting Adventure Dives, including Deep Diving and Underwater Navigation, along with three additional specialty dives based on local conditions and your interests.
Train in the crystal-clear waters of Semporna under the guidance of experienced PADI Instructors while improving your buoyancy, navigation, and underwater awareness. Upon successful completion, you'll earn the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification, allowing you to dive to a maximum depth of 30 metres and opening the door to more advanced diving opportunities worldwide.
Terms & Conditions
Reservation and Payment:
- To confirm your reservation, kindly make a 50% deposit of the total charges.
- The balance must be paid two (2) weeks prior to your arrival.
- All deposits are non-refundable.
Changes and Cancellations:
- For Sipadan trips, permits must be issued at least 7 days before the date, and no changes or rescheduling are allowed once the slot is confirmed.
- Date changes for activities are allowed at least 1 month before the arrival date, subject to availability.
Payment Details:
- All cheques should be crossed and made payable to Borneo Jungle River Island Tours Sdn Bhd.
- When making online transfers, include the booking number in the REFERENCE or PAYMENT DETAILS.
- Share your payslip/receipt once the payment is completed.
Liability:
- Our company is not responsible for any loss, damage, or injury during transfer/accommodation beyond our control.
- The company reserves the right to make necessary changes beyond its control.
Kitchen Rules:
- Our kitchen strictly follows a NO PORK policy.
- Inform us in advance of any food allergies or special diets (vegetarian). Please remind us again upon arrival.
Activity Inclusions and Exclusions:
- Prices include Jetty fee, Marine Park fee, Guide fee, Equipment for snorkeling or diving, and Lunch for activities.
- Prices exclude airport transfer, accommodation, Sidemount equipment, Long Fins for Free diving, Photo services, Dive computer, personal necessities such as medicine, and insurance.
Jetty Assembly Schedule:
- Sipadan Route: Before 8 am.
- Mabul Route: 8 am - 8.20 am.
- Mataking Route: 8.15 am - 8.30 am.
- TSMP Route: 8.15 am - 8.30 am
Note:
- All trips and activities are contingent on weather conditions and permit availability at the time of booking.
Payment & Cancellation
Cancellations made more than 14 days before the course start date are eligible for a full refund, excluding any applicable processing fees.
Cancellations made 7 to 14 days before the course start date are eligible for a 50% refund.
Cancellations made less than 7 days before the course start date are non-refundable.
No-shows and any unused course sessions are non-refundable.
Participants may request to reschedule their course once, subject to availability and approval.
If the course is cancelled by Uncle Chang Semporna due to adverse weather, safety concerns, or unforeseen operational circumstances, participants may choose either:
- A full refund, or
- To reschedule the course to a future available date.
Approved refunds will be processed within 7–14 business days using the original payment method where possible.
PADI eLearning materials, digital course materials, registration fees, and any third-party processing fees are non-refundable once issued or activated.
